Biofilters
are usually effective odor scrubbers initially.
But over time as air channeling and wear on the
media can reduce its effectiveness. When the need
for maintenance kicks in then is when the biofilters
can become a pain. Typically the maintenance requirements
are underplayed during the ‘selling’
of the system, so much of the time there is inadequate
budget planned to replace the media and inadequate
manpower planned to take care of the maintenance
requirements. So, it sets there until the situation
gets so bad, something has to be done.
The BiO3 Airborne Odor Control System can be
used to rescue the situation.
The BiO3 Airborne Odor Control System
Ozone can be installed as a polishing unit. Thus
the system can still be called a biofilter, but
the ozone treatment and the polishing unit can
restore the effectiveness of the biofilter at
an affordable cost and the BiO3 Service
concept solves the workload dilemma.
